Deletes a category nothing uses, from the organization’s vocabulary. Nothing is removed on your behalf: delete or move its child categories, remove it from every component, page, contract and asset classified with it in every environment and app, and clear it from every category field value first.

scope_denied: the key lacks this route’s scope. tier_required: the Content Management API needs the Pro plan or above. ip_denied: the caller’s address is outside the key’s allowed ranges. app_not_available: Content is not enabled for the organization.

No category has this id in the key’s environment.

category_in_use: something still uses the category; usages lists each usage as { sourceKind, sourceId, app, environmentId, environmentName, displayName }, gathered from every app that classifies with the vocabulary — app is content or assets, and environmentId/environmentName are set for a usage inside an environment. sourceKind is category, component, node, contract or asset. taxonomy_read_only: the group or category comes from a content provider and changes only when that provider is refreshed. inherited_read_only: the item is owned by a realm above the key’s own and can only be changed there; ownerRealmId names it.
