Deletes a template and its version history. It is refused while a component or page presents content through it, while a presentation field lists it in allowedTemplateIds, or while a page restricts its children to it.

The settings contract is not deleted with the template; delete it separately if nothing else uses it. getTemplateUsageClosure lists what blocks the delete.

scope_denied: the key lacks this route’s scope. tier_required: the Content Management API needs the Pro plan or above. ip_denied: the caller’s address is outside the key’s allowed ranges. app_not_available: Content is not enabled for the organization.

No template with this id exists in the key’s environment.

has_dependents: other data depends on this template. blockers groups the dependents by reason: used_by_presentations, referenced_by_field_constraints (contract ids) and referenced_by_node_restrictions (page ids). inherited_read_only: the template is inherited from another environment.

Rate limit or quota exceeded; Retry-After says how long to wait. too_many_failed_authentications: too many bad keys from this address.
